After trying to sleep on chairs and the floor we gave up and had a wander around the boat. We struck gold when we found lots of empty padded seating and a good sleep followed!
We all woke up about 7:30 and headed to the breakfast area
Yum!
With a long drive ahead when we get to Ancona, we’ve planned to get some sleep on the ferry. We are on the deck at the rear of the ferry – outside. It could get chilly, again!
Still, at least we know about it this time and have brought some warmer clothes. We were literally freezing cold on the way out and don’t want to do that again…
Damn good driving from the Captain. Pulled the handbrake and slotted a 180 turn in the dock to reverse up and load us all on. Impressive
14.5 hours to Ancona!
Rob has a 450 flight on the key waiting for the “horror ferry”!
Ready and waiting for the “Superfast” ferry to Ancona. Mike dared me to fly the 450 in the port – who am I to refuse a quick blast on the sticks???
Damn good fun and the small crowd loved it
As I can’t spell Igoumenitsa, it is now called mainland Greece ![]()
We headed off to the ticket office to check in on our main ferry journey between mainland Greece and Ancona in Italy.
Shrek and Donkey, snoozing on the boat from Corfu to ingam.., ingamin…, Greese!
We will be catching the 4:30 ferry from Corfu to Igoumenitsa (no doubt spelled wrong!).
Everything is packed and ready to roll so we spent our last half hour at RC Hotel chilling by the pool with a large cold drink
We have had an amazing time here thanks to the great hospitality, friendly atmosphere and good company. I can’t wait to come back again, but this time on a damned plane!!
Had our final flights and now it’s time to pack up everything ready for the second leg of the road trip, now officially called “Dude, where’s my plane!”
Spiros asked us to sign his flightline banner for a reminder of our trip
